Rates & Insurance

My rate is $175 per 55-minute session.

If you are using insurance to pay for counseling, I will bill any insurance that I am in-network with. For out-of-network insurance providers, it is the client’s responsibility to issue reimbursement requests with their insurance provider directly. I am able to provide clients with a superbill that they can submit to their insurance company.

FAQs

How do I get started as a new client?

Use the Contact page to inquire. I am currently offering telehealth services via videoconferencing only, with appointments mostly available in the evenings.

Developing a therapeutic relationship requires sufficient time. In an effort to provide the best service possible, I utilize the initial appointment to gain a sense of why an individual is seeking services, to assess whether I can adequately assist them, and for both of us to get a sense of whether we can build the therapeutic relationship necessary for our work together. I do not offer free consultation at this time.

How does telehealth work?

We will use a secure, encrypted videoconferencing platform called Doxy for our appointments. It is simple to use and no passwords are required to log in. Clients will need access to the internet to attend appointments.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please remember to cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance. Scheduling an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically for you. An appointment is considered a no-show 10 minutes past the scheduled appointment time.

Clients will be charged the full session rate if the appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, or if they do not show for an appointment. Please note that insurance does not cover charges for late cancellations or no-show appointments.

Does insurance cover counseling services?

I will bill any insurance that I am in-network with. Clients are responsible for their copay or coinsurance at the time of service. It is the client’s responsibility to check with their insurance provider about their coverage, and clients are responsible for the balance of what is not covered.

For out-of-network insurance providers, it is the client’s responsibility to issue reimbursement requests with their insurance provider directly. I am able to provide clients with a superbill that they can submit to their insurance company. Please know that insurance companies don’t always pay for services.
