Marisa Calvert

Licensed clinical social worker

#L10766

Marisa holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Portland State University. She has gained a variety of professional experience over the last ten years, having served adults with significant mental health challenges, youth in foster care, and most recently, children and families in her role as a school social worker.

She has extensive knowledge of clinical theory and applications, including assessment and diagnosis, multicultural issues, attachment, family systems, social justice issues, self-advocacy and empowerment, human development, and trauma. Marisa is dedicated to professional growth and development, and continues to seek training in areas that will further enrich her clinical skills.

I work to identify underlying causes of emotional struggle through processing difficult experiences and feelings. When we increase our awareness of the messaging we have unconsciously internalized, we can identify the ways in which we project our lived experiences and begin to heal from our past.
